Tell us a bit about what you do here at UNMC.
I manage the front and back-end paperwork for the hiring of faculty, including the online PeopleAdmin system. I also provide support for the Faculty Senate. I also like to think I’m the fun energy of our department.
Working together is one of UNMC’s brand values. Tell us of a time you witnessed a person or group work together.
My most recent experience was the change from Jobs@ to PeopleAdmin. It was a wonderful experience to work with HR to ensure that the faculty component was more suitable to meet the needs of our administrators. It was an exciting experience and an excellent marriage of the minds to streamline processes and promote new ideas. It couldn’t have been done without all of the hard work of Tina Randle-Johnson, Alice Weyant and Adam Haynes; as well as, the support of Paul Knutson and my co-managers, Linda Spencer and Joan McGovern.
What is your favorite Fall activity?
I absolutely love time around the fire in my backyard oasis with my fiance and our kids.
List three things people may not know about you.
- I have two amazing children. My daughter (mini-me) is a sophomore at UNO majoring in public relations with a minor in marketing, and my son is a sophomore in high school.
- I grew up in a small town with a graduating class of 12.
- I will become a stepmother to three beautiful girls ages 13, 10 and 5. Five kids, WHEW!
Trish definitely is fun energy here on campus! She is AWESOME to work with.
