A new phase of construction recently got underway in the campus dining areas. Below is a list of some of the highlights of these renovations.
Nebraska Cafe
The new Brioche Doree food station is now open in Nebraska Cafe. Sandwiches, soups, salads and breakfast items, in addition to upscale coffees and espressos, are available. Brioche Doree is open 6:30 a.m. to 9 p.m., seven days a week.
The rest of the Nebraska Cafe serving areas have closed for renovation, which should be completed in mid-November. A temporary serving area has been designated in the Nebraska Cafe dining room. This area is open from 6:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Clarkson Cafe and Storz Pavilion
The new QuickFire Grill in Clarkson Cafe is now open from 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., seven days a week. The rest of the dining stations will be open from 6:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday through Friday. A final station will open later this month, upon Fire Marshal inspection.
A temporary Subway store with a limited menu also is available in the Clarkson Cafe this week as the main store is closed for a Fire Marshal inspection. The temporary store is open from 6:30 a.m. to 2 a.m. The main Subway store should reopen next week.
Today, Storz Pavilion resumes its white tablecloth menu service, which was in place prior to the renovation project. Storz Pavilion’s hours are 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Coffee carts
The east atrium/Starbucks coffee cart area in the Durham Outpatient Center is closed for a month-long renovation. The two other campus Starbucks carts in Clarkson Doctors Building North and Storz Pavilion will continue regular hours.
A reminder, premium coffee drinks also can be purchased in the Brioche Doree in the Nebraska Cafe.
