The Paxton Hotel — one of the featured sites on Wednesday’s Gritty City Tour — hosted several historical figures including “Buffalo” Bill Cody and William Jennings Bryan.
The building also served as headquarters of three political parties — the Bull Moose, Democratic and Republican.
Along with the Paxton, Wednesday’s tour also will feature stops at the former home of Madame Anna Wilson and the Brandeis Building.
When: Noon. The tour lasts about 75 minutes.
Where: The tour starts just outside the Durham Research Center on Durham Research Plaza. Please arrive 15 minutes early.
