Dr. Yee’s role

Dr. Yee will serve as president-elect for 2012-13 and as president for 2013-14.

ACCP is a professional and scientific organization focused on advancing clinical pharmacy practice and research.

“Gary has made numerous and sustained contributions to ACCP and to moving the profession forward, and there simply is not a finer or more capable choice than Gary as president,” said Courtney Fletcher, Pharm.D., dean of the College of Pharmacy.

Dr. Tape’s continued service

Dr. Tape’s term as chairman of the board of governors for the ACP — the nation’s largest medical specialty organization — began in April. The previous year, he served as chairman elect.

He has been a fellow of the American College of Physicians (FACP) since 1991. FACP is an honorary designation that recognizes ongoing individual service and contributions to the practice of medicine. He also has served as ACP Governor for the Nebraska Chapter.

“Dr. Tape’s talent and leadership in this national position will benefit patients for years to come,” said Lyn Klassen, M.D., chairman of the UNMC Department of Internal Medicine.
