The following Eppley Institute Short Course in Cancer Biology lectures will take place on Tuesday and Wednesday in the Durham Research Center auditorium:
- Tuesday, May 15 — 1 to 3 p.m. Sean Morrison, Ph.D., of the University of Texas – Southwestern, will present “The Cancer Stem Cell Model?” A discussion will follow from 3 to 4 p.m.
- Wednesday, May 16 — 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. Ravindra Majeti, M.D., Ph.D., of the Stanford University School of Medicine, will present “Acute Myeloid Leukemia Stem Cells: Biology, Clinical Significance and Therapeutic Targeting.” A discussion will follow from 10:30 a.m. to noon.
- Wednesday, May 16 — 1 to 3 p.m. Luis Parada, Ph.D., of the University of Texas – Southwestern, will present “Using Endogenous Mouse Tumor Models to Explore Tumor Cell Hierarchy.” A discussion will follow from 3 to 4:30 p.m.
