Hustle for Hunger today at 3:45 p.m.

The campus food drive kicks off today with the”Hustle for Hunger” campus walk/run at 3:45 p.m.

Brief comments will be made before the run at 3:30 p.m.

In the case of inclement weather, the event will move into the Center for Healthy Living.

UNMC’s campus food drive kicks off today with the “Hustle for Hunger” walk/run.

UNMC moved its food drive to the spring as that is the greatest time of need at the Food Bank of the Heartland. The drive this year runs April 16 through May 4.

To enter, campus runners and walkers can drop off a can of food at the starting line.

Runners will tackle a three-mile course around campus while walkers will trek 1.5 miles.

The event starts in the Ruth and Bill Scott Student Plaza and the course will run around the campus. See a course map.

All campuses are welcome to participate — as are non-UNMC family and friends!

Water and bananas will be provided by Sodexo for those who participate.
