According to Wikipedia, the white headed buffalo weaver bird — one of the newest inhabitants at Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo — is native to east Africa, follows the African buffalo and feeds on “disturbed insects.”

What: Employees will get briefed on new developments at the zoo and be able to purchase discounted zoo memberships. If you can’t attend the session, you can purchase memberships online or from any of the following campus sellers:

Application form: In an effort to save costs this year, employees will not receive a zoo flyer in the campus mail as in years past. You can download a zoo membership application form, complete it and return it along with your form of payment via campus mail to any of the sellers above and they can process your membership on-campus.
Membership prices are the same to buy it online or if you buy from a seller here at UNMC.
The discounted price for a membership is only available until March 31. After that time, the price of memberships increases.
