Dr. Oleynikov to be featured on the Big Ten Network tonight –TIME CORRECTED

The work of Dmitry Oleynikov, M.D., associate professor of surgery and director of the Center for Advanced Surgical Technology and Minimally Invasive and Robotic Surgery at UNMC, will be featured tonight on the Big Ten Network’s “Impact the World” at 7 p.m.

The show is a new original series that focuses on the contributions of Big Ten professors and students.

Hosted by Dennis Haysbert, tonight’s episode showcases cutting-edge medical developments from the University of Illinois, University of Iowa and the University of Nebraska.

This evening’s show will feature Dr. Oleynikov’s work with surgical robots, which he does in collaboration with the University of Nebraska-Lincoln’s Shane Farritor, Ph.D.

The episode will run again on:

• Thursday at 10:30 p.m.;
  
• Friday at 3 p.m.; and
  
• Sunday at 10:30 a.m.
