A farewell tea for
Magda Peck, Sc.D., who was instrumental in building UNMC’s public health infrastructure, will be held Friday, Jan. 27 from 2 to 4 p.m. in the third floor commons area of the Maurer Center for Public Health. Dr. Peck, associate dean for community engagement and public health practice and professor of public health, has accepted the position of founding dean of the Joseph J. Zilber School of Public Health at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. The appointment is effective March 1.
In case you missed it, UNMC and the Nebraska Medical Center employees packed Stotz Pavillion to hear a Martin Luther King Jr. day tribute from community revitalization leader Othello Meadows III.
