SciVal Experts is now available at UNMC and can be accessed online.
To celebrate the launch of SciVal at UNMC, the system’s developer, Elsevier, will host a reception on Tuesday from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. in the Maurer Commons area on the first floor between the Durham Research Centers. All are invited and refreshments will be provided.
A powerful tool
SciVal Experts is an expertise profiling and research networking tool that can help medical center researchers form partnerships and demonstrate their expertise to the global research community.
Others who can benefit from SciVal Experts include:
- Administrators;
- Students;
- Communications departments;
- Other universities;
- Corporations and government agencies; and
- Donors.
Training sessions
A series of training sessions for SciVal experts will be held on campus next week to show all who are interested how SciVal Experts can benefit them. Training is not required to use SciVal Experts. The training session schedule is as follows:
- Jan. 17 — 3 p.m., Durham Research Center, Room 1005
- Jan. 18 — 8:30 a.m., Bennett Hall, Room 2020
- Jan. 18 — 11:30 a.m., Sorrell Center, Room 2018
