What is your best memory from your time at UNMC?
Helping a customer with a tricky question. Their gratitude made my day. It’s really the cumulation of simple things that make great memories.
Our four brand values are leadership, commitment to excellence, working together and being a trusted resource. Pick one and tell us a time you witnessed it embodied at UNMC.
I’ve noticed that our manager is a good, empathetic listener. This is a strong quality that helps bring value as a team. Communication is a vital factor to have smooth flow in the workplace.
List three things people may not know about you.
- I am a music composer and have had music published in a cable TV show, online magazines, yoga studios and in massage therapy sessions. I go under the name of “Soulwire.”
- I am a nationally recognized fire dancer and have won international competitions. I have flown across the U.S. to teach and perform. My Omaha fire troupe is called “Flowpulse.”
- I work with “Quixotic Fusion,” a Kansas City performance group that is making huge waves. They are like a new style of Cirque Du Soleil.
Ken truly embodies committment to excellence. Whenever I've called IT and Ken has assisted me, he always has the right solution to my IT problems and most importantly always gets back to us in a timely manner when the situation requires follow-up. Your help is much appreciated!
Ken is probably the nicest person on campus! I took a Photoshop class he taught at the UNMC Library and was blown away by his patience with all of us. Thanks for all you do for UNMC, Ken!
Definitely an interesting read for the 3 things at the end. Good luck in all!!
I second Sue Anson about the last three things about Ken. Good luck Ken!
Aww, haha. Thank you everyone. 🙂
