Kick off food drive with Hustle for Hunger

Campus runners and walkers are invited to kick off UNMC’s annual food drive on Friday, Oct. 28 at the Hustle for Hunger.

Hey campus runners and walkers, come out for the Hustle for Hunger on Oct. 28!
What: Hustle for Hunger is a campus walk/run to commemorate the start of our annual drive to collect food for the Food Bank of the Heartland. Runners will tackle a three-mile course around campus while walkers will trek 1.5 miles.

When: Remarks start at 3:30 p.m. and the “Hustle” gets underway at 3:45 p.m. The food drive runs Oct. 31 through Nov. 13.

Where: The event starts in the Ruth and Bill Scott Student Plaza and the course will run around the campus. See a course map.

Registration: Please register by emailing unmcevents@unmc.edu. Registration fee is a donation for the food bank. Please bring your donated items to the event. All campuses are welcome to participate — as are non-UNMC family and friends!

Treats: Water and snacks will be provided by Sodexo for those who participate. Even if you don’t participate, come out and cheer!
