Liliana Bronner, instructor in the College of Public Health, has been selected as one of 34 participants in this year’s Leadership Omaha class. This marks the 34th year of Leadership Omaha, making it one of the longest running community leadership programs in the nation. The 10-month program studies community issues and is designed to develop effective leaders who will strengthen and transform the community. Class members are chosen based on their demonstrated community involvement and career advancement.
Chad Vokoun, M.D., assistant professor of internal medicine-general medicine, is one of six University of Nebraska at Kearney alumni who will be recognized at the 2011 UNK Homecoming Awards banquet on Sept. 23. A 1996 graduate of UNK, Dr. Vokoun will receive the Distinguished Young Alumnus Award.
