UNMC enrollment reaches record high

Student enrollment at the University of Nebraska Medical Center set a record high with 3,614 students enrolled for the 2011-12 school year — an increase of 3.5 percent over last year’s record of 3,493.

“UNMC continues to seek the best and brightest students in the state. Our enrollment increase is indicative of how we've been successful in attracting more students,” said David Crouse, Ph.D., interim vice chancellor for academic affairs and dean of graduate studies. “We meet their needs by developing new academic programs when the need arises.

“This year, we've developed several new programs in nursing and public health. We're committed to meeting the health care workforce needs of Nebraska, and this will never change,” Dr. Crouse said.
