What stood out about your tour of UNMC?
The amazing, deliberate attempt to establish a coalition of positive effort within the state of Nebraska of all the medical facilities to serve the residents of the state. These kinds of collaborative efforts reduce the duplicity and financial burden on the state.
What are the biggest health care issues that face the state and how do you see UNMC helping the state confront them?
We need to stay ahead of the health needs of our citizens. This requires strategic planning with regards to the initiative required today and in the future. There is no one single health issue in this state, however, aggressive research and innovative solutions are how we best serve Nebraska.
