New features of new-look UNMC Today

You may have noticed UNMC Today’s new look this morning.

The UNMC Today classifieds can now be accessed at the bottom of the UNMC Today homepage (info.unmc.edu) as well as at the bottom of the new email version of the campus newsletter.

The newsletter’s new design has been rolled out in conjunction with the launch of the new campus calendar, which has gone live on the UNMC Today homepage as well as in the email.

Here are couple things you should know about the new features:

• On the UNMC Today homepage (info.unmc.edu), the calendar can be found in the “Featured Events” box on the right of the page and through the “Calendar” links at the top and bottom of the page; and
  
• The UNMC Today Classifieds can now be accessed at the bottom of the screen of UNMC Today homepage as well as at the bottom of the UNMC Today email.

About the calendar

The calendar — which has replaced the old UNMC Today announcement system — allows individuals to post, edit, remove and update their own announcements for events in topics areas such as:

• Academics;
  
• Admissions;
  
• Alumni;
  
• Campus Life;
  
• Grand Rounds & Seminars;
  
• Health & Wellness;
  
• Outreach & Public Events;
  
• Student Events; and
  
• Training & Human Resources.

Later in the year, departments and units will be able to include customized views of the new calendar on their individual websites.
