The Behavioral Health Education Center of Nebraska (BHECN) is hosting three forums to solicit feedback and ideas on July 26 in Scottsbluff on improving behavioral health in western Nebraska.
The forums will review BHECN activities in the last year, behavioral health workforce outcomes, and provide a forum to provide input on behavioral health concerns. Susan Boust, M.D., medical director of BHECN and associate professor and vice chair for external affairs in the University of Nebraska Medical Center Department of Psychiatry, will speak at the forums.
BHECN was created with the passage of LB 603 in 2010. UNMC is leading the effort to establish innovative, recovery-focused education and training to support the behavioral workforce across Nebraska.
