Below is a list of achievements, activities and happenings involving UNMC staff, faculty and students.

Wayne Fisher, Ph.D.

Wayne Fisher, Ph.D., director of the Center for Autism Spectrum Disorders, has been named chairman of the National Institutes of Health’s Child Psychopathology and Developmental Disabilities Study Section, Center for Scientific Review. Dr. Fisher will serve in this capacity for two years starting on July 1.

Phyllis Warkentin, M.D., professor, pathology and microbiology, has been appointed to the board of trustees of Millikin University in Decatur, Ill. Dr. Warkentin earned a bachelor of arts degree from Millikin in 1970.
