Allied health honors Dr. Hageman and Tammy Jones

The School of Allied Health Professions honored two faculty members — Pat Hageman, Ph.D., and Tammy Jones — at its May 4 awards ceremony.

Dr. Hageman, professor and former chairwoman of the physical therapy program, received two awards — Outstanding Researcher of the Year and Outstanding Service to the Allied Health Professions.

A faculty member for more than 26 years, she has taught hundreds of students and been a leader in interdisciplinary research. She recently was named to a three-year term on a Health Resources and Services Administration external advisory committee.

Jones was named Teacher of the Year, for her skills in the clinical learning environment, her technical expertise and interpersonal communication skills. She serves as clinical coordinator for the radiography program.
