Want a bachelor’s degree? Visit with a UNO adviser

An adviser from the University of Nebraska at Omaha will be available at UNMC on June 7, June 17, July 11 and July 26 to meet with employees who may want to start or finish their degrees.

UNMC employees can take UNO classes at a reduced rate through the University of Nebraska scholarship program.

Appointment information

Appointments will last 45 minutes and be held in the Administrative Center, Room 2032. If you have previously earned college credits, please bring a copy of your transcripts to the appointment so they can be evaluated for transfer.

Contact Margaret Boyce at 559-4371 to set up an appointment today.

The adviser can help employees pursue bachelor’s of science, bachelor’s of arts or bachelor’s of general studies (BGS) degrees.

The BGS degree is a fully accredited 125 hour undergraduate degree program for students 21 and older.

With a BGS degree, employees can either choose to focus on one of more than 40 areas of concentration ranging from health care administration to theater, or they can concentrate on three areas of emphasis.

The BGS program also gives students the opportunity to complete their degrees online.

Another advantage to this program is that all credits previously earned at an accredited institution will count towards a degree.
