Spotlight on new faculty — meet Andjela Drincic, M.D.

Andjela Drincic, M.D., associate professor of internal medicine and medical director of The Nebraska Medical Center Diabetes Center, is among the many new faculty members at UNMC.

Andjela Drincic, M.D.

Title: Associate professor of internal medicine in the section of diabetes, endocrinology and metabolism and medical director of The Nebraska Medical Center Diabetes Center.

Research interests: Diabetes; vitamin D, pituitary.

Education: M.D., University of Belgrade, 1990

Endocrinology fellowship, Northwestern University

Previous positions:

• Associate professor and endocrinology fellowship program director at Creighton University Medical Center;
  
• Medical director of diabetes services at Creighton; and
  
• President elect of the medical staff at Creighton.

Memberships:

• Endocrine Society;
  
• American Diabetes Association; and
  
• American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists.
