Check out UNMC’s new Clinical Trials Database, which lists descriptions and requirements of more than 120 trials currently underway at the medical center.
According to ClinicalTrials.gov, participants in clinical trials can:
- Play a more active role in their own health care;
- Gain access to new research treatments before they are widely available; and
- Help others by contributing to medical research.
Currently, the database contains information about trials that deal with issues ranging from rheumatoid arthritis to cancer to smoking cessation.
