The pediatric clinic in the Durham Outpatient Center seeks books for the Reach and Read program — which involves giving age-appropriate books and “reading prescriptions” to all children between 6 months and 5 years of age at health care visits.
John Walburn, M.D., and the pediatric clinic need gently used children’s books for their participation in the Reach and Read Program. Next to Dr. Walburn is the 2007 Spirit of Literacy Award, which the clinic received for its efforts in the program. |
The clinic seeks gently used books in any language that are appropriate for all ages of children, but specifically for grade school-aged children.
Books can be brought to the General Pediatric Clinic on the first floor of the Durham Outpatient Center.
