Efforts to prepare teens for health careers featured in UNMC Connect

picture disc.Since fall, three dozen Omaha area teenagers have attended classes at UNMC to jump-start careers in the health sciences.

The teens are part of the UNMC High School Alliance, which provides hands-on learning experiences for area high school students. Read more about this unique program in the latest issue of UNMC Connect — now available online.

The issue’s cover story, “Teens prep for health careers,” also highlights two bright students, who have been inspired by the program.
