A video that highlights UNMC’s vitality is now available for faculty and staff to use for a variety of purposes, including recruiting, community presentations and campus training.
“The brand video provides a compelling summation of UNMC’s life-saving work for those people who don’t know what we do here, whether they are a prospective faculty member, a new employee or simply someone in the community,” said Chancellor Harold M. Maurer, M.D. “I would encourage everyone to use the video liberally.”

The video project is just one area in which UNMC’s brand is being emphasized, said Renee Fry, J.D., director of UNMC Public Relations.
Human Resources and Public Relations launched an internal engagement phase of the branding initiative with Spirit Week in December. A website, unmc.edu/vital, is available for employees to share their stories on how UNMC is vital to them.
Over the next year, staff will focus on engaging faculty, staff and students around UNMC’s four brand values — leadership, commitment to excellence, working together and being a trusted resource — as well as UNMC’s four mission areas: education, research, outreach and patient care.
“Each employee of UNMC represents the brand in his or her day-to-day work,” Fry said. “This ongoing education — coupled with our graphic identity — ensures that we’re telling our story in the most cohesive and dynamic way.
“Through this, we truly capitalize on our momentum and re-affirm our commitment to innovation and service.”
