The University of Nebraska Medical Center will open its outdoor skating rink to the public on Saturday, Nov. 27.
This year, the rink will add concessions, music and seasonal decorations. The rink will be open Nov. 27 through March 13.
The rink is located just east of 42nd Street midway between Emile Street and Dewey Avenue on the north side of the Michael F. Sorrell Center for Health Science Education building. The outdoor rink was made possible by a gift from Omaha philanthropists Ruth and Bill Scott.
Hours of operation are
· Tuesday-Friday, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., 4-8 p.m.;
· Saturday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.;
· Sunday, Noon to 8 p.m.
· Holidays or inclement weather closing, call (402) 559-0697.
Free parking is available in surface parking lot 39 located at 41st and Emile streets.
