More than 11,000 pounds collected during food drive

The College of Public Health once again made a strong showing in the annual campus food drive, during which more than 11,000 pounds of food was collected for the Food Bank for the Heartland.

UNMC, The Nebraska Medical Center, UNMC Physicians, Nebraska Orthopaedic Hospital and Clarkson College combined to collect 11,344 pounds of food to benefit the Food Bank for the Heartland.

That total is about 900 pounds more than was collected during the drive last year.

The drive — which was organized by the Nurses’ Week Committee and others — ran Nov. 1-14.
