Joslyn Art Museum brings art to the UNMC campus

The Joslyn Art Museum has shared works from its collection with UNMC and the pieces are on display on the third floor of the Sorrell Center.

This 1926 portrait of UNMC’s first international graduate, Dr. Bhugat Singh Thind, by J. Laurie Wallace is among the pieces from the Joslyn Art Museum collection currently on display in the Sorrell Center.
The museum staff, in collaboration with UNMC leadership, have selected several works that revolve around the story of Nebraska including landscapes, posters and portraits.

A 1926 depiction of Dr. Bhugat Singh Thind, the first international graduate of the UNMC College of Medicine by renowned Omaha artist J. Laurie Wallace, is a part of this installation.
