Kent Bellows, shown in this self portrait, and his art will be the focus of a Sept. 14 seminar at UNMC. |
Bellows — whose art will be featured at the Joslyn from Sept. 25 through Jan. 16 — grew up and made his home in Omaha.
He had a reputation as a leading American figurative artist. Complicated and provocative, his sensitive intellect and creative ability produced images of great beauty, emotional depth, and humanity.
