Open spots remain for new faculty orientation event

Plenty of spots remain for the Sept. 15 new faculty orientation event, which will feature discussions about faculty policies, professional collaboration and promotion and tenure.

Need a professional photo? A photographer will be in the atrium outside of the Truhlsen Campus Events Center between noon and 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 15 to take free professional head shots of new faculty members.

The event — titled “The Essential Guide to New Faculty Success” — will run from 7:15 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 15 in the Sorrell Center’s Truhlsen Campus Events Center.

Why attend?

The event is designed specifically for new faculty members of all UNMC colleges and it allows them to discuss organizational culture, mission and vision with key UNMC leaders, including Chancellor Harold M. Maurer, M.D.

Who can attend?

All interested faculty, particularly those employed less than three years, are encouraged to participate.

Registration information

Registration is free and can be completed online. There is no cost for faculty members to attend this event. The registration deadline is Sept. 9.
