Lookin’ at U – Danielle Dohrmann

picture disc.Quick, think of five things others should know about you.

That’s the theme behind a series in UNMC Today called “Lookin’ at U.”

Each Thursday, we randomly select a medical center employee to feature.

This week, we feature Danielle Dohrmann, higher education project coordinator in International Health and Medical Education.

Here, in her own words, are five fun facts about Danielle:

  • I’m proud to have both Sioux and Cherokee Indian heritage;

  • I worked on a roofing team one summer in my (misguided) youth;

  • I’m enrolled in the MSIA Graduate Studies program, doctoral track, with a focus area of International Health;

  • I was nicknamed “Cake Boss” as the OR charge nurse on a UNMC Haiti Relief trip in January; and

  • I once waited out a torrential downpour at a Memorial Park Independence Day concert celebration with two of my three children (age 3 and 5 at the time) in a port-a-potty. Luckily it was early in the evening!

Read UNMC Today next Thursday to see who is featured in the next Lookin’ at U article. Who knows — it could be U.
