Faculty Senate elects new officers

The UNMC Faculty Senate has elected officers for 2010-2011.

The officers are:

  • President — Luis Marky, Ph.D., professor of pharmaceutical sciences in the UNMC College of Pharmacy;
  • Immediate past president — Karen Honeycutt, School of Allied Health Professions;
  • Vice President/President elect — Wayne Stuberg, Ph.D., Munroe-Meyer Institute; and
  • Secretary/Treasurer — Audrey Nelson, Ph.D., College of Nursing.

The senate serves as the governing body empowered to represent the UNMC faculty. It includes a total of 42 members with representatives from each major academic unit

  • Daniel Murman, M.D., College of Medicine
  • Chad Vokoun, M.D., College of Medicine
  • Kristine McVea, M.D., M.P.H., College of Medicine

College of Public Health

  • Chandran Achutan, Ph.D., College of Public Health

College of Nursing

  • Kathleen Duncan, Ph.D., College of Nursing
  • Linda Sather, Ph.D., College of Nursing

Eppley Institute

  • Youri Pavlov, D.Sc., Eppley Institute
