Nominees are sought for the Wellness Council of the Midland’s Light of Wellness Award.
This award — named in honor of William M. Kizer, the Wellness Council of the Midland’s founder who first inspired the idea of worksite wellness in America — has two categories:
- Healthy Behavior — which recognizes employees in local businesses who now lead healthier lifestyles as a result of participating in their companies’ wellness programs (This category is subdivided into Individual and Team classifications); and
- Leadership Award — which honors of senior level managers whose actions have proved instrumental in advancing wellness programs to a top strategic priority within their organizations.
All nominees should embody some, or all, of the characteristics from the S.P.I.S.E. model (social, physical, intellectual, spiritual, and emotional well-being). In addition, it might be a person that not only engages in your wellness program but encourages others to do the same.
