Bill Lyons, M.D., accepted a position as co-associate program director
of the Internal Medicine Residency Program, and Rachel Bonnema,
M.D., accepted an assistant program director position for the Internal
Medicine Residency Program. They join the residency leadership team
that includes James O’Dell, M.D., program director, and Chad Vokoun,
M.D., co-associate program director. Both stepped into their new roles
in February.
Proceeds from the Owl Ride — Omaha’s first-ever nighttime urban cycling adventure — will benefit the Meyer Foundation for Disabilities, which helps people served by the Munroe-Meyer Institute. The non-competitive ride will be Saturday, July 17, with riders beginning and finishing at the Lewis and Clark Landing on the downtown Omaha riverfront. Riders may choose between a 16-mile or 7-mile course winding through downtown, midtown, Dundee, Aksarben, Field Club and Old Market neighborhoods. Riders of all ages and skill levels are welcome. The cost is $25 for individuals/$50 for families. Registration can be completed online at www.owlride.com.
