How did climate almost completely destroy humanity 73,000 years ago?
How does weather influence something as horrible as global cocaine production?
What kinds of weather are we just now discovering?
Arizona State professor Randy Cerveny will discuss some of the worst weather in history during a Friday seminar at UNMC. |
Cerveny — a professor of geographical sciences at Arizona State University — will start his presentation at noon in the Sorrell Center, Room 2010.
The entertaining presentation will cover topics stretching from the catastrophic weather that brought an end to the dinosaurs to a strange project involving the weather of the next 10,000 years and beyond.
The lecture is offered through the Time Travelers partnership, which provides free museum admission for medical center employees, students and their immediate family with valid identification. The partnership also offers lectures, workshops and other events on the medical center campus.
Employees are encouraged to bring lunch.
