Quick, think of five things others should know about you.
That’s the theme behind a series in UNMC Today called “Lookin’ at U.”
Each Thursday, we randomly select a medical center employee to feature.
This week, we feature Diane Feldman, Learning Resource Center coordinator in the College of Nursing Kearney Division.
Diane Feldman |
- I live on a farm north of Kearney with my husband, Gary. Our family includes our sons Mitch and Dan, Mitch’s wife, Cassie and their daughter, Caydence.
- I am the author of a book, “Wife on the Farm,” which was published in 2003. It is a compilation of articles I wrote when I was a reporter for the Kearney Hub newspaper and details my life as a city girl who marries a farmer.
- One of the stories from the book was used as the basis of a poem (The Turtle and the Rabbit) written by Cowboy Poet Baxter Black and featured in his book, “Blazin’ Bloats and Cows on Fire!”
- I am the editor of the College of Nursing monthly newsletter.
- For the past 10 years, I’ve been a volunteer for the Litchfield Haunted Woods. This is a two-night event in a wooded area outside of Litchfield that provides a spooky guided experience as a fund-raiser for our high school post prom committee.
Read UNMC Today next Thursday to see who is featured in the next Lookin’ at U article. Who knows — it could be U.
