Quick, think of five things others should know about you.
That’s the theme behind a series in UNMC Today called “Lookin’ at U.”
Each Thursday, we randomly select a medical center employee to feature.
This week, we feature Josh Jessen, grants and contracts specialist for sponsored programs.
Here, in his own words, are five fun facts about Josh:
Josh Jessen |
- I’m not kidding when I tell people this is the best job I’ve ever had. I get to work with some of the brightest, creative people in the Midwest — especially my extraordinarily smart co-workers in Sponsored Programs Administration. I don’t think most people grasp the complexity involved, or how hard we work, to help researchers stay in compliance and grow research for UNMC.
- During my illustrious career, I’ve worked as a public school teacher, a debate coach and have dabbled in the world of community nonprofits.
- I’ve kept the same haircut for the last 17 years.
- I’m married to my wonderful wife Laura, and we have a very smart little 2-year-old named Peter.
- We just found out we have another baby on the way!
