The UNMC Campus Sustainability Team’s “Think Green – Do The Right Thing Awareness Fair” will be held today from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Durham Outpatient Center West Atrium.
The fair is a chance for departments and other campus organizations to show how they have been able to make a difference in terms of sustainability and environmental friendliness.
About 20 campus groups will have exhibits at the fair, including
- Purchasing;
- General Supply;
- Sodexo;
- Shredding Solutions;
- Parking and Bookstore;
- Research Resources;
- Chemical Safety; and
- Center for Healthy Living.
Also, employees can bring alkaline batteries from work-related devices to recycle at the event.
