Lookin’ at U – Amy Lamer

That’s the theme behind a series in UNMC Today called “Lookin’ at U.”

Each Thursday, we will randomly select a medical center employee to feature.

This week, we feature Amy Lamer, business services coordinator in business and finance.

Here, in her own words, are five fun facts about Amy:

• My greatest personal achievement is my family. My husband Frank and I have three wonderful kids, Christina, Dani and Andrew.

• I have two obsessions — Toby Keith and Creighton men’s basketball.

• The best job I’ve ever had was being a lifeguard in my home town the summer after I graduated from high school.

• When I’m not on a set of bleachers or a sideline somewhere cheering on our kids, I enjoy shopping (my husband says it’s a sickness) and spending time with friends.

• When I want to relax, we head to our home in Okoboji. I love to get up early (not something I normally enjoy) and have my coffee on the dock before anyone else is awake.
