UNMC’s “High 5” fruit and vegetable challenge has yielded a bunch of creative team names.
Why, you could say there’s a whole bushel of ’em.
As examples, check out some of the names we plucked off the vine:
- Fruit Flyz;
- The Eagles (from Eagle Run Clinic);
- The Pharm Team (from College of Pharmacy);
- Fruit ORA Veggie (Office of Regulatory Affairs);
- Orange you glad you can see? (Eye Specialists);
- COPH- Healthketeers;
- FACT-FVP;
- The Payroll Prunes;
- Fruity Pebbles & Veggie Trails; and
- The Dental College Crunchers.
Ok, enough with the produce puns.
Seriously, there’s still time to register for the challenge, which aims to increase employee consumption of fruits and vegetables of assorted colors. A diet with such characteristics has been shown to provide numerous health benefits.
To get started:
- Pick a team captain who will gather names and e-mails of team members;
- Download this registration form, fill it out and send it to Heather Lenz by fax at 559-9609 or by e-mail to hlenz@unomaha.edu;
- Team members then start logging their daily fruit and vegetable consumption on a fruit and vegetable log sheet.
