Quick, think of five things others should know about you.
That’s the theme behind a series in UNMC Today called “Lookin’ at U.”
Each Thursday, we will randomly select a medical center employee to feature.
This week, we feature Karen Schledewitz, student adviser in the UNMC College of Nursing.
Karen Schledewitz |
- My Christian faith is central to every part of my life.
- I married my high school sweetheart and 31 years later we are still happily married and are both working for UNMC College of Nursing-West Nebraska Division.
- In my professional career, I have worked as a high school biology and chemistry teacher, an elementary and a secondary guidance counselor and in nutrition research.
- We have two big family events coming this summer — our daughter Kelsey is getting married and our son Dustin and his wife Erin will have our first grandchild. It’s a boy!
- I developed a deep appreciation for nurses as my father triumphed through three types of cancer in 11 years. Nurses were a main support for him and our family.
Read UNMC Today next Thursday to see who is featured in the next Lookin’ at U article. Who knows — it could be U.
