Lyn Scott, chief operating officer of The Women’s Museum in Dallas, will share her thoughts on significant milestones in women’s history during a campus presentation on Thursday, March 4.
Scott’s presentation starts at noon in the College of Nursing, Rooms 1011/1012.
She also will provide a brief introduction to the history and creation of the Women’s Museum, an overview of the museum’s permanent and temporary exhibits and the educational programming initiatives to empower girls and women.
The Women’s Museum opened in 2000 and provides a place where people can honor the past and explore the contributions of women through fun, state-of-the-art interactive exhibits.
The lecture is offered through the Time Travelers partnership, which provides free museum admission for medical center employees, students, and their immediate family with valid identification, while also offering lectures, workshops and other events on the medical center campus.
Employees are encouraged to bring their lunch and enjoy the presentation.
