Prospective college students and advisers are invited to UNMC on Saturday, March 27 to get an insider’s view of the career options within the School of Allied Health Professions (SAHP).
Pre-registration is required for the SAHP’s free Backstage Pass event, which runs from 1 to 4:30 p.m. in the Sorrell Center. Parking is available in Lot 4 on the southeast corner of 42nd and Emile streets.

Allied health professionals — which include radiographers, physician assistants and sonographers to name a few — make up approximately 60 percent of the entire health care workforce.
The afternoon will include informational sessions on admissions, student life and scholarships and financial aid. Students also will have the opportunity to talk with current students and tour SAHP’s 11 programs:
- Clinical Laboratory Science;
- Clinical Perfusion;
- CT/MRI;
- Cytotechnology;
- Diagnostic Medical Sonography;
- Medical Nutrition;
- Nuclear Medicine;
- Physical Therapy;
- Physician Assistant;
- Radiation Therapy; and
- Radiography.
