Wellness Wednesday — Reduced prices and extended hours at ice rink

UNMC employees and general community members can now get admission and rent skates at the campus ice rink for $5.

Holiday hours The UNMC ice rink will have the following special hours during the holidays: Today – noon to 8 p.m. Closed Dec. 24-25. Dec. 26 – 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Dec. 27 through Jan. 1 – noon to 8 p.m. Jan. 2 – Return to normal hours. View more about the ice rink online.

And starting Jan. 2, the rink will be open from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Wednesdays and Fridays.

As part of new offerings from UNMC:

• Families of five or more get admission and skate rentals for $20;
  
• Individual seasonal memberships cost $25; and
  
• Family memberships cost $50.

UNMC students still get free admission to the rink and can rent skates for $3.

The UNMC rink will be open until Feb. 28. All payments must be done with cash or credit cards. Debit cards and checks are not accepted.
