Last week’s “Hoakie Heartbreaker” left the Cornhuskers and two of our panelists 2-1 on the season.

So here’s how our panel stacks up as the Huskers look to rebound at home Saturday against the Ragin’ Cajuns of Louisiana-Lafayette:

  • Jeffrey Hill, M.D., 3-0
  • Team Runco/Kelsay (Lisa Runco and Chad Kelsay), 2-1
  • Robert Zatechka, M.D., 2-1.

Dr. Hill, it should be noted, said he’s an unhappy 3-0.

Here’s how the panelists see this week’s tilt with Louisiana-Lafayette playing out:

Dr. Hill says, “I did not like being right last week. This week, the team gets to right the ship in preparation for Missouri. Could we see more of Cody Green? The offense will put a hurt on Louisiana-Lafayette and the defense is playing well in spite of the lapse last week.” NU 45, Louisiana-Lafayette 10

Team Runco/Kelsay says, “First of all … we should have won at Virginia Tech. We gave it away worse than we’ve ever seen us give one away. The good thing is that we played hard and will learn from the loss. There will be no hangover from last week, and we’ll come out and play great. The defense played outstanding last week, except for the last drive. This is another cream puff, so we say we’ll win big.” NU 37, Lousiana-Lafayette 10

Dr. Zatechka says, “Look for a big rebound from NU’s offense at this weeks game. While Louisiana-Lafayette has defeated Kansas State already this year, they were unable to break the 20 point mark in doing so against a poor KSU defense. Look for a lot of ground game by NU with Cody Green and Rex Burkhead getting the call early.”NU 49, Louisiana-Lafayette 0
