Pandemic planning discussion on Sept. 2

On Wednesday, Sept. 2, a panel discussion will be held regarding how you can be prepared for this upcoming flu season.

The panel will feature the following presenters:

Steve Hinrichs, M.D., chairman of pathology/microbiology;
Deb Thomas, assistant vice chancellor for business services;
John Russell, assistant vice chancellor for human resources; and
Marcia Beckerdite, infection control specialist.

Discussion topics will include:

Pandemic planning;
Vaccines;
Predictions for the upcoming flu season; and
The “Cover Your Cough” campaign.

The session will run from noon to 1 p.m. in the Durham Research Center Auditorium. Participants are welcome to bring their own lunch.
