The University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO) School of Social Work will start a new off-campus Master of Social Work Degree program in South Sioux City, Neb., in January 2010.
Applications for admission to the program, which is a new educational offering in the area, are now being accepted.
The program, open only to persons holding an accredited bachelor’s degree in social work, will provide a concentration in clinical social work.
Students will be able to complete the MSW degree in two years and one semester. Of the 13 required courses:
- Five will be online;
- Six will be face-to-face classes taught at the South Sioux City Education Center (SSCEC); and
- Two will be practicum courses that students will complete in agencies near the students’ hometowns.
