Those employees who wish to get their bachelor’s degrees will have a chance to meet with a University of Nebraska at Omaha adviser at UNMC on July 20.
Appointment slots to meet with the adviser fill up quickly, so contact Margaret Boyce at 559-4371 today to set up your time.
Adviser appointments will last 45 minutes and be held in the Administrative Center, Room 2032. If you have previously earned college credits, please bring a copy of your transcripts to the appointment so they can be evaluated for transfer.
The adviser will help interested employees take advantage of the University of Nebraska scholarship program.
The adviser can help employees pursue bachelor’s of science, bachelor’s of arts or bachelor’s of general studies (BGS) degrees.
The BGS degree is a fully accredited 125 hour undergraduate degree program for students 21 and older.
With a BGS degree, employees can either choose to focus on one of over 40 areas of concentration ranging from health care administration to theatre, or concentrate on three areas of emphasis.
The BGS program also gives students the opportunity to complete their degrees online.
Another advantage to this program is that all credits previously earned at an accredited institution will count towards a degree.
