Bill Orr, M.D., a member of the College of Medicine Class of 1962, performs a mock child delivery for “Noelle,” a new patient simulator in the Sorrell Center’s Clinical Skills Laboratory. Noelle — which gives birth to simulated babies and allows students to practice several types of deliveries — is on campus thanks to a gift Dr. Orr and his wife, Linda, gave to UNMC through the University of Nebraska Foundation. Dr. Orr served on the UNMC ob/gyn faculty from 1966 to 1973 before he moved into private practice in Omaha. Dr. Orr retired in 1998. |
