The UNMC Faculty Senate has elected officers for 2009.
The new and re-elected officers are:
- President — Karen Honeycutt, assistant professor in the School of Allied Health Professions;
- Immediate Past President — James Turpen, Ph.D., professor in the department of genetics;
- Vice President and President-elect — Luis Marky, Ph.D., professor in the department of pharmaceutical sciences; and
- Secretary-Treasurer — Wayne Stuberg, Ph.D., professor in the Munroe-Meyer Institute.
Nancy Woelfl, Ph.D., director and professor in the UNMC McGoogan Library of Medicine, will continue as parliamentarian.
